Hand Crafted Megalodon Tooth Fossil Necklace

This Pendant has around 20 genuine tooth fossils from various prehistoric sharks including the largest predator known to ever live -the Megalodon.  These fossils were formed up to 23 million years ago during the pliocene epoch.  They came from a young sharks tooth that dropped in the sediment and over thousands of years the fossil was formed.  We know these fossils are from this era because they were found at excavated sites and creeks in South Carolina that were around  30-40 miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean.  The area has been above sea level for millions of years and these fossils were formed when the land was actually the ocean floor at the time.

This pendant was hand made by encasing the fossils in layers of resin.  Each pendant is unique and this particular one has about 20 small fossils.
